DESCRIPTION
Known as one of last Medicis Villa in private hands, the Villa has been founded in the late Middle Ages and was decorated and painted between 1630 and 1634 at the behest of the then owner, the Prince Giovan Carlo de ‘Medici.
Later, in 1644 Cardinal sold the Villa to the Marquis Andrea Corsini, whose descendants built to the south side the Italianstyle hanging garden, to the west side an English garden and the chapel on the ground floor.
At the beginning of the 2000 the Corsini family has started a great work of restoration with the aim of reviving the splendor of the past.
