DESCRIPTION
The Diaccia Botrona Nature Reserve is located approximately 20km from Grosseto. It is a protected natural area characterised by its typical marshland environment: it includes the River Bruna and the stretch of pine forest along the road between Castiglione and Marina di Grosseto, as well as the pine forest itself. The two areas of the marsh, of different sizes, are the Diaccia and the Botrona, which are divided by the river bank linking Casa Ximenes to the Badia Bridges, near Clodia Island.
