DESCRIPTION
Piazza del Campo is the main piazza in the city of Siena, with its unique and original shell shape on a slope with nine sections, outlined by white strips on the terracotta floor. Twice a year the piazza hosts the Palio di Siena. The most important monuments of the city overlook the “Campo”: Palazzo Pubblico, the Torre del Mangia, the Chapel, the Fonte Gaia.
