Piazza dei Cavalieri is situated in the historical centre of Pisa. It is the result of a vast work of urban reorganization commissioned by Cosimo I in 1558 and entrusted to Giorgio Vasari. The Palazzo della Carovana, location of the Scuola Normale Superiore, the Church of Santo Stefano dei Cavalieri, and the Palazzo dell’Orologio.
