DESCRIPTION
The Botanical Garden is located on the Pistoia Mountain at about 1300 m above sea level in the municipality of Abetone-Cutigliano. It was founded in 1987 as a center for nature and forestry studies on the Northern section of the Apennines and as a facility for the conservation of local flora. A splendid high-altitude garden, it hosts botanical and forest species characteristic of the High-altitude Pistoia Apennines: mountain flowers, carnivorous and medicinal plants, majestic trees.
