The National Museum of Bargello, which is housed in the ancient Palazzo del Podestà, brings together a collection of Renaissance statues that is considered to be one of the most noteworthy in the world, featuring masterpieces by Michelangelo, Donatello, Ghiberti, Cellini, Giambologna, and Ammannati. Built in the 13th century, the Palazzo’s courtyard features a portico along three of its sides.
