DESCRIPTION

The lungarni are the roads that run alongside the river Arno, also famous for the buildings and the ancient palaces overlooking the river banks. Every year, on 16 June, the magical Luminara di San Ranieri celebration of the patron saint of the town is held along the Lungarni of Pisa, with 60,000 wax candles that light up the Lungarni and the most famous monuments in Pisa.
