DESCRIPTION
Consecrated in 1179, Siena Cathedral is one of the most majestic Gothic-Romanesque churches in Italy. The many masterpieces housed inside include the Pulpit by Nicola Pisano, the Piccolomini altarpiece with its four youthful sculptures by Michelangelo, and the floor with its marble mosaic tiles, featuring 56 panels depicting the Revelation.
