DESCRIPTION
The San Miniato al Monte Abbey, which was built between the 11th and 13th centuries, looks out over Piazzale Michelangelo. The external façade is a masterpiece of Florentine Romanesque architecture, decorated with green and white marble in geometric designs. The interior is Romanesque in style, with three naves and a floor decorated with signs of the zodiac, a raised presbytery and a crypt.
