DESCRIPTION
Barga is a town dating back to the Longobard period, located 400 metres above sea level, at the foot of the Apuan Alps. It is dominated by a castle that has the typical structure of the medieval village and is protected by the town walls. Among the monuments of particular interest: the Conservatory of Santa Elisabetta, the Cathedral of San Cristoforo, Casa Pascoli, Palazzo Balduini and Palazzo Pancrazi.
