Until the end of May, Jay Kelly’s set will involve numerous locations
Shooting is underway in Tuscany of Jay Kelly, the working title of the film directed by Noah Baumbach (co-writer of Barbie) and starring two Hollywood stars George Clooney and Adam Sandler, produced by Film Production Consultants for Netflix. The cast also includes Australian actress Isla Fisher and British actor Louis Partridge, as well as Billy Crudup, Jim Broadbent, Josh Hamilton, Emily Mortimer, Patrick Wilson, Laura Dern, Alba Rohrwacher, Riley Keough and Greta Gerwig.
The plot of the film, based on an original screenplay by the director himself together with actress Emily Mortimer, is highly confidential. Jay Kelly will be available on Netflix in 2025.
Location
After filming in Lombardy, the set moved to Tuscany, from 9 to 28 May, involving Montecatini Terme in the province of Pistoia (railway station), Montalcino (Azienda Vinicola Argiano, where the famous Brunello wine is produced and where the poet Giosuè Carducci stayed at the end of the 19th century), Arezzo (Teatro Petrarca), Pitigliano (historic centre and Teatro Salvini) and Pienza (historic centre, Buca delle Fate restaurant, Palazzo Piccolomini and some private estates).
