DESCRIPTION
The San Marco Museum, located in the ancient part of the Dominican convent, was renovated and enlarged by the architect Michelozzo in the 16th century. The building contains the world’s richest collection of works by Fra Angelico (the Painted Crucified Christ in the Chapter House, the Annunciation, the Three Marys at the Tomb and the Noli me tangere). A the entrance, there is a large cloister with four porticoed sides and covered by cross vaults.
