DESCRIPTION
Founded by Charlemagne in 781, the Abbey of Sant’Antimo is one of the best examples of Romanesque architecture still standing today. The facade juts out and features a number of capitals and statues. Inside there are three naves and a semi-circular apse with an ambulatory, a rather rare feature in Italy.
