DESCRIPTION
The Palazzo Medici Riccardi, in the heart of Florence, was designed in the 15th century by the architect Michelozzo on commission from Cosimo I de’ Medici. On the first floor is the Magi Chapel, with famous frescos by Benozzo Gozzoli which include many of the illustrious personages of the time, such as members of the Medici family. Today the Palazzo is the headquarters of the Prefettura and the Metropolitan City of Florence.
